The middle Chimera is a 'Mars Pattern Chimera armed with a multi-laser.

Their 'Grenadier veterans' are 'almost always used' in Centaur transports when it's too risky for them to advance across No Man's Land on foot and stealth isn't an option. For one, their veterans are carapace armored grenadiers that follow tactics not entirely similar to standard mech veterans, and for another point, krieg almost always uses centaur transports when it can.
